Bayou City Art Festival Memorial Park

Sarah Janece Garcia was invited to participate in the Bayou City Art Festival Memorial Park in the spring of 2017.

Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series Exhibition

Sarah Janece Garcia's painting titled, "The Jay" was selected to exhibit at the Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series Semifinals in Austin, Texas. The Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series is a national search for this year's next big name in visual arts and is created in partnership with hip-hop mogul Russel Simmons and Danny Simmons's Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation.

The Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series Regional Exhibition will take place at ART on 5th, Austin’s largest contemporary gallery, from September 27th till October 15th.

This exhibition features 23 local artists (within 150 miles of Austin), who have each been selected to compete for a chance to show their work at Art Basel in Miami this December. One winner will be announced at the reception Saturday, October 8th.

Cottonwood Art Festival

Turquoise Butterfly Featuring Sarah Janece Garcia

Sarah Janece Garcia will be traveling to the Land of Enchantment for Turquoise Butterfly's anniversary celebration and gallery reception featuring her work. Sarah will be the featured artist for this event and will have new, never before seen, originals on display along with various limited edition prints.

Main St. Fort Worth Arts Festival

Sarah Janece Garcia is 1 of the 215 artists that were juried in and given official invitations to show at the MAIN ST. Fort Worth Arts Festival this coming April.

MAIN ST. is the largest arts festival in Texas, is annually ranked among the nation’s 10 best, and is a three-time winner of the prestigious “Grand Pinnacle” Award from the IFEA. The event has become one of the most attended and celebrated arts festivals in the country, with tens of thousands coming together to enjoy one of the world’s largest outdoor art galleries and music venues. Flower Girls Exhibition

ART IN THE PLAZA!

This coming March the Plaza Club, curated by Karen Evans, will present a floral art exhibit titled, "Flower Girls". This exhibit will feature the work of Debra Benditz, Sarah Janece Garcia, and Vie Dunn-Harr. The opening reception for this floral exhibit will be on Monday March 7th from 5:30pm-8:00pm at the Plaza Club which is located on the 21st floor of the Frost Bank Tower on 100 W. Houston St. 

"So, in honor of women's history month, along with a shared connection to flowers and love for the creative process, we 4 women have teamed up to bring you what is sure to be a very special show."

46th National River Road Show

Sarah Janece Garcia's painting titled "Shadows of Creation" was selected by the juror Diantha York-Ripley to be a part of the 46th National River Road Show. Out of over 400 entered works of art from 12 states, her painting was 1 of the 75 paintings selected to be exhibited in the show at the Louisiana State Archives Gallery in Baton Rouge.

This is the second consecutive year that a piece of her work was selected to be a part of this show in Louisiana.

Sarah Janece Garcia's Watercolor Demo

Sarah Janece Garcia will be giving a watercolor demo at Jerry’s Artarama of San Antonio.

This event will include a viewing of some of her most recent watercolor originals, as well as an art demo in which Sarah will begin a watercolor painting and paint live on site while discussing her process of creating, giving watercolor tips, and showing the benefits of using the QoR watercolor products.

Inspired Art Gala Results & Tobin Center Feature

Both of Sarah Janece Garcia's paintings that were a part of the InspireD juried art show brought home awards. Her painting "Journey Home" was selected by the jurors to be the second place winner in the professional category. Additionally, her painting "Generations" received the most social media votes which made it the winner of the social media darling award at the 5th Annual Inspired Art Gala.

Both paintings will be on display through the month of April at the Tobin Center located at 100 Auditorium Circle in San Antonio, TX.
